The Mystery Of Communion Part 3
In my previous blogs; The Mystery of Communion Part 1 and The Mystery of Communion Part 2, I touched on the mystery of the body of Christ. I would like to continue in this blog by discussing the mystery of the blood of Jesus Christ.
It all started in the garden of Eden. God, while in the act of creation, said
Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth [1].

In the garden of Eden, Man was in the realm of awareness, He single-handedly named all the animals in the world, and whatever name Adam gave each creature remains its name even to this day. In the garden of Eden, there were no sicknesses or diseases, neither was there lack in any shape or form. Then the devil came on the scene and deceived man and caused Him to sin against God. Sadly, Man was now cut off from every privilege He had been enjoying in the garden, the deep intimacy between God and Man was disconnected.
However, in spite of the fall of Man, God had a redemptive plan for Him. God knows the end from the beginning, hence, even before He created the earth, he knew Man would fall, He therefore made provision for Him. Revelation 13:8 reads. “…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” God allowed that Jesus Christ be sacrificed on the cross to save humanity from the bondage of sin, to restore Man back to Eden.
Whenever you take the blood of Jesus, you are restored back to Eden, therefore, every lack, sickness, disease, infirmity or other demonic affliction MUST give way. Every bondage terminates at the blood! As we see in Exodus, God through Moses made every effort to free Israel from bondage in Egypt, but all to no avail until the blood was introduced [2]. The blood is God’s last resort, God’s last card for Man’s deliverance. After the blood, Moses never again said to Pharaoh, “Let my people go!” Rather, it was Pharaoh who now frantically wanted them gone [3].
The blood covenant is God’s last card for Man’s deliverance. It is the last straw that must break every camel’s back. What makes the blood of Jesus powerful is that it is the very life of God. Leviticus 17:11 reads “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Therefore, whenever you say ‘the Blood of Jesus’, you are invoking the very presence of God on the scene.
When to take communion
There are no definite times or days when we should take communion, churches may decide to take communion in a particular day in the month for the sake of proper planing and preparation. However, they should not make it a religious practice, such that apart from those days they would not take communion. Christians are encouraged to take communion very often, in order to cleanse their bodies of any form of demonic contamination, which can eventually turn into sicknesses and diseases.
How to take communion

The question is, ‘Do I have to buy some special bread and wine for communion?’ Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God that was slain for the sins of this world, He is the one who introduced us to the doctrine of communion by offering His body and blood to us.
While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you [4].
If you study this and other scriptures carefully, you will realise that Jesus simply blessed the bread they were eating at the table and the drink for the communion. He did not use any special bread or drink for that. We can as well bless any food, preferably bread and any soft drink and use it as communion. Take communion and get cleansed of any iniquity, stay healthy and wealthy.
